PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a feed manufacturing apparatus and a feed manufacturing method which have a high traceability, capable of mixing and processing a feed little by little, and enabling the easy extension and retraction, remodeling, and replacement of the apparatus.SOLUTION: This feed manufacturing apparatus (1) comprises a processing area (10) and a warehouse area (automated high-rise warehouse) (200) positioned adjacent to each other. The processing area (10) includes a building (20) storing a conveyor line (21) conveying small containers (C) in which raw materials, intermediate products, and products are filled and processing unit groups (30) for mixing, processing, and packaging connected to both sides of the building (20). The small containers (C) are movable between the building (20) and the automated warehouse (200). The processing unit group (30) is composed of units (31) for mixing, processing, and packaging, and the outside dimensions of the processing unit (31) are standardized in those of marine containers.
