Disclosed are methods and devices for local delivery of a water-insoluble therapeutic agent to normal or diseased body cavity tissue. The expandable structure of a medical disposable device, such as a balloon of a balloon catheter, is non-durable comprising an amphiphilic polymer or copolymer, polyethylene glycol in embodiments, having a substantially water-insoluble therapeutic agent dispersed therein.
