PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an upward irradiation type radiation diagnostic device which can easily shield a radiation beam irradiated to a protected area of a subject.SOLUTION: A radiation diagnostic device 10 is used in combination of a placement table having a placement surface on which a subject in a recumbent position is placed. The radiation diagnostic device 10 is an upward irradiation type radiation diagnostic device comprising a radiation irradiator which is positioned on the lower side of the subject and irradiates the subject with a radiation beam, and a radiation detector which is positioned on the upper side of the subject and detects the radiation beam. The radiation diagnostic device 10 has a radiation shielding substance for shielding the radiation beam between the subject and the radiation irradiator. The position of the radiation shielding substance is properly adjusted, and the irradiation of the radiation beam to the protected area of the subject is shielded by the radiation shielding substance.【課題】上方照射型の放射線診断装置において、被検体の被防護領域へ照射される放射線ビームを容易に遮蔽できるようにする。【解決手段】放射線診断装置10は、臥位の被検体が載置される載置面を有する載置台と組み合わせて使用される。放射線診断装置10は、被検体の下側に位置し被検体に向けて放射線ビームを照射する放射線照射器と、被検体の上側に位置し放射線ビームを検出する放射線検出器を有する上方照射型の放射線診断装置である。放射線診断装置10は、被検体と放射線照射器の間に放射線ビームを遮蔽する放射線遮蔽物を有する。放射線遮蔽物の位置は適宜調整され、放射線遮蔽物により被検体の被防護領域への放射線ビームの照射を遮蔽する。【選択図】図1
