<;P>;PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an artificial oviposition device for Tapes philippinarum which can be compacted and can improve the efficiency of the oviposition, and to provide a method therefor. <;P>;SOLUTION: The artificial oviposition method for Tapes philippinarum includes: receiving the mother shells A of the Tapes philippinarum in a cistern 2; holding the temperature of seawater W in the cistern 2 at 17 to 20°;C; raising the temperature of the seawater W to about 25°;C with a temperature control heater 3 to induce the first oviposition of the Tapes philippinarum; intermittently or continuously supplying seawater W of about 25°;C into the cistern 2 with a seawater supply means 4; overflowing the seawater W in the cistern 2 from a draining port 5 to drain the seawater W together with the sperms C of the Tapes philippinarum excessively dispersed in the cistern 2 outside the cistern 2; thereby inducing the second and more ovipositions of the Tapes philippinarum; and then passing the seawater W overflowed from the draining port 5 through a collection net 6a to collect the fertilized spawns. <;P>;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
