The present invention relates to a method and a device for enabling to analyze a property of a vital sign detector (20). The proposed method comprises the steps of providing a virtual phantom (14) of a living being, rendering an artificial vital sign on the displayed virtual phantom (14), and outputting the virtual phantom (14) with the rendered artificial vital sign to the vital sign detector (20).La présente invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif permettant d'analyser une propriété d'un détecteur de signes vitaux (20). Les étapes du procédé selon l'invention consistent à réaliser un fantôme virtuel (14) d'un être vivant, à représenter un signe vital artificiel sur le fantôme virtuel (14) affiché, et à transmettre le fantôme virtuel (14) avec le signe vital artificiel représenté au détecteur de signes vitaux (20).
