[PROBLEMS] To provide a data sampling device for image diagnosis by which high quality data for image diagnosis can be obtained using a simple imaging device equipped in a commercially available portable telephone, and to provide an imaging adapter for use in that device. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] A data sampling device for image diagnosis comprising a portable imaging apparatus capable of imaging a dynamic image at a desired diagnostic position, and a substantially tubular adapter having one bottomed end fixed onto the imaging lens of the imaging apparatus, characterized in that the bottom face of the adapter surrounds the imaging lens and abuts against the outer wall of the housing of the imaging apparatus supporting the imaging lens, an edge portion surrounding the opening end of the adapter abuts against the skin surface around the diagnostic position, and an opening having a diameter larger than that of the lens of the imaging apparatus is formed in the bottom face of the adapter.
