PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop an ocular disorder treatment method and an ocular condition diagnosis method using a substance which is instilled into the cornea or the like to inactivate an antigen not by systemic administration but by topical application.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to an ocular disorder treatment method and an ocular condition diagnosis method including a step of administering to a patient in need of the ocular disorder treatment, an effective amount of a sub-immunoglobulin antigen-binding molecule that is immunointeractive with a target antigen associated with the disorder. The sub-immunoglobulin antigen-binding molecule does not include an Fc part of an immunoglobulin but includes a synthesized Fv molecule. The target antigen is selected from a group consisting of an MHC molecule, a constimulatory molecule, an adhesion molecule, a receptor-related molecule, a cytokine receptor, and a virus surface antigen. This invention relates also to a composition including the sub-immunoglobulin antigen-binding molecule.【課題】全身投与ではなく局所適用により角膜等に浸入し抗原を無効としうる物質を用いる眼障害治療法及び眼状態の診断法を開発すること。【解決手段】本発明は、眼障害の治療が必要な患者に、該障害と関連のある標的抗原と免疫的に相互作用しうるサブ－免疫グロブリン抗原結合分子の有効量を投与する工程を含む眼障害治療法及び眼状態の診断法である。該サブ－免疫グロブリン抗原結合分子は免疫グロブリンのＦｃ部分を含まず、合成されたＦｖ分子を含む。該標的抗原はＭＨＣ分子、補助的刺激分子、接着分子、受容体関連分子、サイトカイン受容体及びウイルス表面抗原から成る群より選択されるものである。本発明はこのサブ－免疫グロブリン抗原結合分子を含む組成物でもある。【選択図】なし
