PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bed fence in which dimensions in a right and left direction, and in a front-back direction can be reduced while changing the height of the fence without depending on human power.SOLUTION: A bed fence 1 includes, for a bed 5 equipped with a side frame 6 on a side in a right and left direction, a plate-like lifting body 2 detachably attached to the side frame 6, which is thin in the right and left direction as compared with the length in the front-back direction, and which stands with the plate surface directed to the right and left direction, an accommodation body 3 for accommodating the lifting body 2 in a way that it can be moved in and out in a vertical direction, and a lifting mechanism 4 for lifting the lifting body 2 with respect to the accommodation body 3.
