The present invention relates to a package for a food product comprising a first (2) and a second (4) edible material halves, each having a respective annular edge (6, 8), wherein the said first and said second edible material housing halves are arranged with two respective annular edges in a mutually oriented relationship, an openable container (12) of inedible material interposed between said housing halves having a wall which defines an internal volume for housing a product, article or accessory, wherein said first and said second edible material shell halves (2, 4) are accommodated in a respective foil material wrapper (34, 36) defining a cavity substantially complementary to the outer surface of the respective edible material shell half, wherein said wrappers (34, 36) are connected to each other along respective edges (40a, 40b) so as to keep the edible shell halves (2, 4) in contact with the container wall, wherein the wall of at least one of said first and said second halves of edible wrapper (2, 4) has a closed contoured opening (18, 20) defining a gap that makes a portion of the container wall (12) visible from the outside； preferably, the container walls have engaging means that engage the opening or openings mentioned above.a presente invenção se refere à embalagem para um produto alimentício, que compreende uma primeira (2) e uma segunda (4) metades de invólucro de material comestível, em que cada uma tem uma respectiva borda anular (6, 8), em que a dita primeira e a dita segunda metades de invólucro de material comestível são dispostas com duas respectivas bordas anulares em uma relação mutuamente orientada, um recipiente passível de abertura (12) de material não comestível interposto entre as ditas metades de invólucro, que tem uma parede que define um volume interno para alojar um produto, artigo ou acessório, em que a dita primeira e a dita segunda metades de invólucro de material comestível (2, 4) são acomodadas em um respectivo envoltório (34, 36)
