PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a load on a network and a presence server in a presence system.SOLUTION: Devices 1-1 to 1-3 transmit presence information representing detection result to a representative device 8 when they detect states of detection object items (e.g., water temperature, pH and the like) which are detection objects of the own device. The representative device 8 records the presence information transmitted from the devices 1-1 to 1-3 in a presence information storage part for each device, obtains a state of a representative detection object item (e.g., water quality) which is a detection object of the own representative device 8 based on the presence information for each device stored in the storage part, each time the storage part is updated, and creates presence information representing the obtained state.
