PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a location pad for locating intra-body probes, such as catheters, in magnetic position tracking systems used in a wide range of medical applications, such as minimally invasive procedures.SOLUTION: A location pad 38 comprises four magnetic field generators 36A to 36D each including multiple planar coils arranged in a single plane.
