The present invention describes a cosmetic formulation containing a nutrient-rich medium obtained by means of a fermentative process using genetically engineered bacteria. The microorganism engineered for the process was Corynebacterium glutamicum as it is of industrial interest since it produces high yields and is easy to work with. The nutritive medium produced is rich in various biomolecules, such as vitamins, organic acids and amino acids, including aminolevulinic acid. The compounds found in the nutritive mixture are not harmful to human health. Said medium is incorporated in cosmetic skin formulations capable of moisturizing and delaying aging in skin, preventing wrinkles and blemishes.
