PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-traveling weeder where weeding can be performed with similarly proper efficiency, in either the case of the machine moving forward or backward, in order to save labor and time which are required for weeding.SOLUTION: The weeder B has a frame 1 and on the front and rear parts of which front wheels 31 and driving rear wheels 41, with both constituting a running gear of moving forward and backward are installed. Cutters 2 are placed on both sides, along the running direction of the lower part of the frame 1 and are made to change the direction of rotation with a changeover in the running direction of the running gear. A steering handle 6 can be set to face either the direction required, with respect to the running direction of the weeder B. Covers 71 for guiding weeds toward the cutters 2 are attached on the front and rear parts of the frame 1.
