PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a favorable model animal that is a pathological model animal of inflammatory disease such as atrophic gastritis and does not cause an early death and a method for evaluating and screening a substance for preventing or treating various inflammatory diseases or causing or promoting various inflammatory diseases, which uses the model animal.SOLUTION: The model animal of inflammatory disease is prepared by deleting or suppressing the function of &alpha 1,3-fucose transferase 9 gene.
