PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a visceral fat area with accuracy by computing the visceral fat area from a body height, weight, an age, a biological impedance, and a subcutaneous fat thickness, and to simplify a structure.SOLUTION: A body composition measuring device 10 is equipped with an electrode 1 brought into contact with a hand or a leg, an impedance measuring means 2 for measuring the biological impedance from a current applied to the electrode 1, a subcutaneous fat thickness measuring means 5 which is equipped with a light emitting part 3 for emitting infrared radiation or visible light and a light receiving part 4 for receiving the emitted light and measures the subcutaneous fat thickness, an operating means 6 for entering physical data of a subject or operating the impedance measuring means 2 or the subcutaneous fat thickness measuring means 5, a computing means 7 for computing each body composition value from the input value and the measured values, a display means 8 for displaying the measured value, the computed value, and the input value, and a storage means 9 for storing the measured value, the computed value, the input value, and an arithmetic expression.
