Sheet materials (35) which form the first leakage prevention cuffs (34) have on the non skin facing surface side of the absorption body (33) at positions inside the side edges of the absorption body (33): upper affixed sections (35u) which are affixed to the front surface sheet (31) and lower affixed sections (35d) which are affixed to a lower sheet. The length L1 the length L2 the distance L3 and the distance L4 satisfy the relationships of (1) L1=L2 (2) L2=L1+L3 and (3) L3=L4.
