The pull-up type absorbent article has, on both sides of the absorbent body: first leakage prevention cuffs (34) having free ends located inside the side edges of an absorption body (33) and second leakage prevention cuffs (37) having free ends extending further outward than the side edges of the absorption body (33). A front surface sheet (31) and the first leakage prevention cuffs (34) have folded-back sections (31c) folded from the skin-facing surface side of the absorption body (33) to the non-skin-facing surface side thereof. Sheet materials (35) which form the first leakage prevention cuffs (34) have, on the non-skin-facing surface side of the absorption body (33) at positions inside the side edges of the absorption body (33): upper affixed sections (35u) which are affixed to the front surface sheet (31) and lower affixed sections (35d) which are affixed to a lower sheet. The length L1, the length L2, the distance L3, and the distance L4 satisfy the relationships of (1) L1≤L2, (2) L2≤L1+L3, and (3) L3≤L4.
