PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a smooth solid-shaped fish bait seen as if naturally swimming like a live fish, having high-degree attractive effects and predatoriness-inducing effects of fish, kind to the environment and facilitating the preservation, and to provide a method for producing the fish bait.
SOLUTION: The smooth solid-shaped fish bait 1 is obtained by thermoplastically molding a composition comprising 20-60 wt.% fishery waste containing fishery products, 10-60 wt.% polysaccharides such as starch, and a 5-40 wt.% edible plasticizer, and is substantially free from bubbles. The external form is formed into a shape resembled to fish, and obtained by covering the outer surface 1a with glitter scales 2 so as to provide a smooth outline.
