A method for producing chewing-gum compositions containing xylitol introduced in the form of a powder as polyol, by introducing into the compositions at least one anti-caking agent, preferably having a specific surface BET of at least 200 m2/g. The hardness of the chewing-gum thus obtained is increased, such an increase being desirable, for example, for preventing the deformation of centers to be sugar-coated in the sugar-coating turbines or improving the stick-packaging rates. The anti-caking agent is previously mixed with the powdery xylitol, and the mixture may be provided in the form of a powdery composition of xylitol and the anti-caking agent.La présente invention se rapporte à un procédé de fabrication de compositions de chewing- gum contenant du xylitol introduit sous forme de poudre en tant que polyol, par introduction dans lesdites compositions d'au moins un agent anti-mottant, préférentiellement d'une surface spécifique BET d'au moins 200 m2/g. La dureté des chewing-gums ainsi obtenus est augmentée, une telle augmentation étant souhaitable, par exemple pour éviter la déformation de centres à dragéifier dans les turbines de dragéification ou pour améliorer les cadences d'emballage de sticks. L'agent anti-mottant est mélangé au préalable avec le xylitol pulvérulent. La composition pulvérulente de xylitol et d'agent anti-mottant fait aussi partie de l'invention.
