PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen gas supply apparatus for a living body in which a hydrogen gas beneficial to health can be safely used in a medical care site and at home.SOLUTION: The hydrogen gas supply apparatus for a living body includes a hydrogen generating agent 1, a hydrogen gas generator 3 having the hydrogen generating agent, and at least one of a dilution gas supply unit 7 or a vacuum pump 8 for diluting the hydrogen gas generated by the reaction of the hydrogen generating agent and reaction water 2. The hydrogen gas generator has a feature that a part or whole of a phase part 4 thereof is covered with a hydrogen gas permeable membrane 5. The hydrogen gas supply apparatus supplies a mixed gas containing the hydrogen gas of 0.1 vol% or more but less than 18.3 vol% to the living body with a ventilation amount of 1 mL/min or more, by mixing the dilution gas supplied from the dilution gas supply unit or the vacuum pump with the hydrogen gas, and even when the supply of the dilution gas has been stopped, maintains the concentration of the hydrogen gas to less than 18.3 vol% at a position separated from the hydrogen generating agent or the water surface of the reaction water at the generation of hydrogen at a distance of 7 cm.【課題】健康上有益な水素ガスを医療の現場や家庭で安全に使用することができる生体用水素ガス供給装置を提供する。【解決手段】水素発生剤１、該水素発生剤を有する水素ガス発生器３、該水素発生剤と反応用水２の反応により発生する水素ガスを希釈するための希釈用ガス供給器７または真空ポンプ８のうち少なくともいずれか一方を備え、前記水素ガス発生器は、その気相部４の一部あるいは全部が水素ガス透過膜５で覆われている特徴を備え、前記希釈用ガス供給器または真空ポンプから供給される希釈用ガスが水素ガスと混合されることにより、１ｍＬ／分以上の通気量で、水素ガス濃度が０．１vol％以上１８．３vol％未満の混合ガスを生体に供給し、前記希釈用ガスの供給が停止した場合であっても、水素発生時の前記水素発生剤又は反応用水水面から７ｃｍ離れた位置の水素ガス濃度を１８．３vol％未満に維持する。【選択図】図１
