PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of sterilizing a substance, which is capable of achieving a sufficient sterilization effect without requiring heating of the substance to be sterilized at high temperature and without requiring drying of the substance either, without deterioration and discoloration, etc. of the substance to be sterilized and without damaging the substance to be sterilized.
SOLUTION: The method of sterilizing the substance includes irradiation of the substance, to which a silver ions are applied, with light for the sterilization.
