PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of difficulty in grasping the three dimensional position of each section, when observing bulls eye image expressed in one or more sections defined on three sections set for the heart.SOLUTION: A schema image set 104 is displayed together with a synthetic image 100 and a bulls eye image 102. The schema image set 104 consists of three schema images 116, 118, 120 corresponding to three sections. The same processing as color display processing applied to bulls eye image 102 and overlay image 101B is applied to each schema image set 104. That is, the same color is given on each image for three sections mutually having correspondency relations. A frame marker 112 expresses a chosen section as a B-mode image.
