Skin-brightening cosmetic composition comprises an auxiliary material and a combinatorial unit consisting of ground white jade stone with an average particle size of 5-10 mu m, arbutin, a lotus flower extract, a kumquat-fruit extract and dimethylmethoxy chroman palmitate. Independent claims are also included for: (1) skin-brightening, comprising applying daily at least a first sequence of a set of the cosmetic composition to the skin surface, applying a second sequence of the cosmetic composition at every 10-16 hours, where the first and the second application forms comprise a cleansing gel, a serum and a cream, where each comprises the combinatorial unit in addition to the auxiliary material； and (2) a cosmetic set for the skin-brightening, comprising a day cream, a night cream, a cleansing gel, a serum and optionally a mask as an application form, where each application form comprises the auxiliary material and the combinatorial unit.
