PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope system that meets the users various different needs without replacing its entire cooling unit.
SOLUTION: In the endoscope, a base 24 with which a tube is connected for supplying a cooler with air is provided. A sheath 21 and an endoscope insert 10 are detachably fixed at the base 24. A cylindrical elastic rubber body 31 is fitted into a sheath fixing hole 27 of the base 24, and a pressure adjustment screw 35 is screwed up with a sheath 21 being kept fitted with the elastic rubber body 31. A cylindrical elastic rubber body 32 is fitted into an insert fixing hole 28 of the base 24, and a pressure adjustment screw 36 is screw-threaded with the endoscope insert 10 being kept fitted with the cylindrical elastic rubber body 32. Even if this sheath or endoscope insert is replaced with another with a different outer diameter, it can be tightly fitted with the base 24 by the way of fixing the size of the outer diameter of its side to fit with the elastic rubber body, 31, 32, etc.
