PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cultivate Zingiber mioga in a favorable environment using an inexpensive coconut shell medium without discharging a drainage with a high residual fertilizer concentration while reducing cost and the added amount of a fertilizer added to a culture fluid.SOLUTION: This hydroponic method for Zingiber mioga includes planting Zingiber mioga in the coconut shell medium 12 of a hydroponic bed 10, and supplying the culture fluid 16 to the hydroponic bed 10 to carry out hydroponic culture of Zingiber mioga. In the hydroponic method for Zingiber mioga, the fertilizer concentration of the culture fluid 16 supplied to the hydroponic bed 10 in an initial period of cultivation after planting Zingiber mioga is made thinner than a fertilizer concentration in a growing period after the lapse of the initial period of cultivation, and a coagulant is added to the drainage discharged from the hydroponic bed 10 in the initial period of cultivation to coagulate and eliminate a pollutant contained in the drainage and then to drain the drainage to the outside.
