Foam and fiber composites can provide enhanced drivability and improved liquid dispensing capabilities for the absorbent article. The foam and fiber composite may be formed of at least two materials. The first material is an open cell foam material and the second material is a fibrous material. A plurality of fibers forming a fibrous material can be inserted into the open cell foam material, thereby forming a foam and fiber composite.
