Finally, the present invention relates to the therapeutic use of the disclosed polypeptides and pharmaceutical compositions given their immune system modulating effect on pathologies such as cancer and chronic infectious diseases.La presente invención se relaciona en general con polipéptidos cuya secuencia primaria tiene una alta homología con la secuencia de la Interleucina 2humana(IL-2) con algunas mutaciones puntuales en la secuencia de la IL-2nativa.Los polipéptidos de la presente invención tienen un efecto inmunomodulador sobre el sistema inmune, que es selectivo/preferencial sobre célulasT reguladoras. La presente invención también se relaciona con polipéptidos específicos cuya secuencia de aminoácidos es divulgada en la presente invención. En otro aspecto la presente invención se relaciona con las composiciones farmacéuticas que comprenden como principio activo los polipéptidos divulgados.
