The present invention relates to a composition for preventing or treating degenerative brain disease comprising a prolyl oligopeptidase inhibitor as an active ingredient. According to the present invention, the composition inhibits activation of prolyl oligopeptidase, and provides an effect of treating or preventing disease by inhibiting a protein revelation level of α-synuclein. Therefore, the composition can be helpfully used for preventing or treating degenerative brain disease such as synucleinopathy.본 발명은 프롤릴 올리고펩티다아제 억제제를 유효성분으로 함유하는 퇴행성 뇌질환 예방 또는 치료용 조성물에 관한 것으로 본 발명의 조성물은 프롤릴 올리고펩티다아제의 활성을 억제하며, α-시누클린(α-synuclein)의 단백질 발현 레벨을 억제해 질환을 치료 또는 억제하는 효과를 가지므로 시누클린성 질환(Synucleinopathy)과 같은 퇴행성 뇌질환의 예방 또는 치료에 유용하게 사용될 수 있다.
