PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide wire which ensures flexibility at its distal end part and is excellent in the torque transmission property to the distal end part.SOLUTION: A guide wire 1 has a continuous length and comprises: a wire body 10 having, in its distal end part, a plate-shaped part 3 made up of plate portions； and a tubular part having the plate-shaped part inserted into its inside.
