A method of preparing a therapeutic cell population for clinical use from a starting population of cells comprising haematopoietic stem cells, said method comprising separating a population of cells that substantially do not express CD38 but which express CD34 from the starting population of cells, and transducing the separated cell population with a vector to obtain the therapeutic cell population.L'invention concerne une méthode de préparation d'une population cellulaire thérapeutique à usage clinique à partir d'une population initiale de cellules comprenant des cellules souches hématopoïétiques, ladite méthode consistant à séparer une population de cellules qui n'exprime sensiblement pas le CD38 mais qui exprime le CD34 à partir de la population de cellules initiale, et à transduire la population de cellules séparée à l'aide d'un vecteur pour obtenir la population cellulaire thérapeutique.
