The present invention relates to a method for obtaining a spermatozoid cell population with improved fitness which comprises contacting the starting spermatozoid population with a binding agent recognizing the CD10 biomarker and isolating spermatozoids from the starting population which do not bind to said biomarker. The invention also relates to the spermatozoid cell population, which can be used to fertilize an ovum, and to the embryo obtained.The invention also relates to a method for determining the fitness of sperm for fertilization based on the percentage of the spermatozoid population not carrying the CD10biomarker.La présente invention concerne un procédé d'obtention d'une population de spermatozoïdes de meilleure qualité qui consiste à mettre en contact la population de spermatozoïdes de départ avec un agent de liaison reconnaissant le biomarqueur CD10 et à isoler les spermatozoïdes de la population de départ qui ne se lient pas audit biomarqueur. L'invention concerne également la population de spermatozoïdes, qui peut être utilisée pour féconder un ovule, et l'embryon obtenu. L'invention concerne aussi un procédé de détermination de la qualité du sperme pour la fécondation sur la base du pourcentage de la population de spermatozoïdes ne portant pas le biomarqueur CD10.
