A smart system and method for controlling alarm are provided. The system is installed and running on an electronic device. The electronic device includes an alarm clock and a storage device. The storage device pre-stores value range of physiological parameter of a user being in a sleep state. The system includes an obtaining module, a monitoring module and a controlling module. The obtaining module is configured to obtain value of physiological parameter collected by a collecting device. The monitoring module is configured to determine whether the user is in a sleep state according to the obtained value of physiological parameter.
