This invention relates to a hair dye produced by using mainly natural pigments (for food and cosmetic purposes), synthetic pigments (for food and cosmetic purposes), and cosmetic pigments, and the hair dyeing method using the same. The hair dye is structured similar to keratin proteins of skin and hair, capable of applying to dyeing on the hair or skin. The hair dye can be made into a hair dye ointment, hair dye lotion, hair dye cream, hair dye gel, hair dye paste, hair dye shampoo, foam-type hair dye, and hair dye spray. The hair dye can be combined with hair-perming agent to produce a dyeing/perming two-in-one product capable of completing dyeing and perming in one step. The hair dye uses different dyeing methods to permeate the natural pigments (for food and cosmetic purposes), synthetic pigments (for food and cosmetic purposes), and cosmetic pigments into hair to achieve hair dye purpose.
