PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an antibacterial base material, which is prepared by depositing nanoparticles to a titanium oxide base material and can exhibit high bactericidal effect, and to provide the antibacterial base material.SOLUTION: Sterilization performance is improved when a mesoporous titanium oxide base material is formed and silver nanoparticles of single nano size are deposited to it.
