The present invention provides a method for coating carrier particles with inhalable drug guest particles, the method providing a device comprising a processing tube with a solid wall defining a chamber for receiving the particles. It involves adding particles to the chamber. The cylindrical processing tube is then rotated about the axis so as to apply a centrifugal (G) force between 10 and 2100 g to the particles. The present invention also provides a method for coating carrier particles with guest particles, wherein the carrier particles contain a material or drug and the guest particles contain a solubility / solubility control agent.
