PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray imaging apparatus that is stable against temperature change and achieves lightweight and miniaturization, while protecting an internal X-ray detection sensor, even when a load or impact is received from the outside.SOLUTION: The X-ray imaging apparatus has an X-ray radiation unit for radiation of X-rays, a detection unit for detecting the X-rays transmitting a subject, and a housing for housing the detection unit. The housing includes a first housing arranged with an X-ray transmitting member for transmitting the X-rays within an incident range of X-rays radiated from the X-ray radiation unit a second housing for supporting the detection unit, while being separated from the X-ray transmitting member at the side opposite to the incident side, where the X-rays are made incident on the X-ray transmitting member and a plurality of connecting members for connecting the second housing with the first housing.
