The invention relates to a method for preparing a coated organic pigment comprising the following steps: a) an anhydrous mixture is prepared (i) of an organic pigment and (ii) a silicon compound of formula [R - O] Si-R (I) wherein R denotes a C 1 -C 6 alkyl radical, R denotes a C 1 -C 6 alkyl radical or C 1 -C 6 alkylene or C 1 -C 6 aryl radical； b) the mixture is brought into contact with an aqueous composition comprising a surfactant chosen from alkyl (C -C) sulphate salts and oxyethylenated (C -C) alkyl phenols comprising from 5 to 40 ethylene oxide units； ； c) recovering the coated pigment in powder form. The subject of the invention is also a coated organic pigment obtained according to this process, as well as a cosmetic composition containing such a coated organic pigment. L'invention a aussi pour objet un pigment organique enrobé obtenu selon ce procédé , ainsi qu'une composition cosmétique contenant un tel pigment organique enrobé.
