There is disclosed an ultrasonic probe which transmits and receives an ultrasonic wave, includinga vibrator which transmits the ultrasonic wave in response to a transmission signal, and generates a reception signal of the reflected ultrasonic wave,at least one abnormality detector which is provided in the ultrasonic probe, and detects an abnormality and indicates the abnormality in color, anda state monitor which is provided in the ultrasonic probe, and monitors a state of the abnormality detector by the color, and outputs monitoring information.
