PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for ingesting the ingredient derived from a plant with good taste, and to provide a health-maintenance agent containing the composition or including the composition as an effective ingredient.

SOLUTION: The composition for oral ingestion contains an extract from the external skin of onion, a mulberry-processed product and an Angelica keiskei-processed product, or a health-maintenance agent including the composition as an effective ingredient. In the composition or the health-maintenance agent, the weight ratio of the extract to the mulberry-processed product is &le2, that of the mulberry-processed product to the Angelica keiskei-processed product is &le12, and that of the mulberry- and Angelica keiskei-processed products to the extract is &ge6. Alternatively, the composition for oral ingestion contains the extract of &ge3 wt.% or the health-maintenance agent including the composition as an effective ingredient.
