Die vorliegende Erfindung richtet sich auf Endoprothesen, genauer betrifft sie Endoprothesen mit einem Grundkörper aus Titan oder Titanlegierung und einem gelenkflächenbildenden Bereich aus einer anderen Legierung als einer Titanlegierung, der an dem Grundkörper angeordnet ist. Des Weiteren richtet sich die vorliegende Erfindung auf Verfahren zur Herstellung dieser Endoprothese, insbesondere Verfahren durch Walzplattieren.The endoprosthesis has a base portion (1) made from titanium or titanium alloy, and a joint surface forming region (2) which is arranged at the base portion. The joint-surface-forming region is made from another alloy such as stainless steel, or alloy with chrome, molybdenum and/or nickel cobalt, and cobalt chromium-molybdenum alloy, other than the titanium alloy. The base portion is made from a titanium alloy which is selected from titanium-aluminum alloy and /or titanium-aluminum-vanadium alloy. An independent claim is included for manufacturing method of endoprosthesis.
