PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method of a concentrated composition for a drink for reduced drink, which composition contains high concentration catechins, and yet, is reduced in bitter taste and astringent taste, has both of moderate sweet taste and sour taste, and is excellent in transportability because it is a concentrated form.
SOLUTION: The production method of a concentrated composition for a drink for reduced drink, which composition contains 0.5 to 25.0 mass% of non-polymerized catechins, comprises the steps of (1) a step of mixing a hydroxy carboxylic acid with water, (2) a step of mixing with the water a concentrated product and/or a purified product of tea extracts containing non-polymerized catechins, and (3) a step of mixing a carbohydrate with the water.
