The present invention relates to an ultrasonic image apparatus and a control method thereof. The ultrasonic image apparatus of the present invention comprises: an image generation unit for obtaining an ultrasonic image by photographing an object； a neural network in which virtual ultrasonic image generation is learned based on images matched each other； an image transformation unit for transforming, into a virtual ultrasonic image, a medical image pre-acquired by photographing the object by using the neural network； and a matching unit for determining a location of a virtual probe to be applied to the medical image based on the ultrasonic image and the virtual ultrasonic image, and for matching the ultrasonic image and the medical image based on the location of a virtual probe. The ultrasonic image apparatus of the present invention can match a medical image and an ultrasonic image by using pre-learned neural network, thereby more precisely matching the medical image and the ultrasonic image.대상체를 촬영하여 초음파 영상을 획득하는 영상 생성부와 서로 정합된 영상에 기초하여 가상 초음파 영상 생성이 학습된 신경망과 신경망을 이용하여 대상체를 촬영하여 미리 획득한 의료 영상을 가상 초음파 영상으로 변환하는 영상 변환부와 초음파 영상과 가상 초음파 영상에 기초하여 의료 영상에 적용할 가상 프로브 위치를 결정하고, 가상 프로브 위치에 기초하여 초음파 영상과 의료 영상을 정합하는 정합부를 포함하는 초음파 영상 장치를 제공한다.
