The invention relates to variants of the 2086 lipoprotein from Neisseria meningitidis, also known as ORF2086 or factor H binding protein (fHBP), in particular an isolated polypeptide comprising the amino acid sequence set forth in SEQ ID NO: 76, referred to as variant A05. The invention also relates to immunogenic compositions comprising such polypeptide. Preferred variants have the cysteine at position 1 deleted. The polypeptide may be lipidated.
