A retractable roof comprises two parallel bars having grooves that are based on varying lengths of pillars at a slope above the ground and a set of sheets coupled with the parallel bars. The two parallel bars are supported by a number of beams keeping them parallel to each other and provided with a pulley mechanism. In one embodiment, the set of sheets move along the grooves to cover the entire surface area formed by the parallel bars when pulley mechanism pulls the sheets and sheets move along the grooves to pile up one above other when pulley mechanism push the sheets. In another embodiment, transparent solar sheets are used as roof with an electric motor to pull or push the sheets. In yet another embodiment, the retractable roof is installed with a drainage unit, pesticide spraying unit and a bird controlling device.
