PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device having such a constitution that it can be compactly mounted in a restricted space in an electronic device to achieve compactness of a part where it is to be disposed, and to provide an endoscope distal end part equipped with the imaging device.SOLUTION: The device includes a distal end hard member 11s, a prism 20 positioned on the back side in the optical axis direction of a lens for observation of an examined part provided in the distal end hard member 11s, an imaging element 21 fixed on a light outgoing surface of the prism 20 in the distal end hard member 11s, and a substrate 22 of which one surface 22i is fixed to the imaging element 21, with the other surface 22t fixed to an inner circumferential surface 11sn of the distal end hard member 11s.
