PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope for making it possible to accurately perform positioning between a prism member and an imaging device, with a simple configuration.SOLUTION: An endoscope 2 in an endoscope system 1 includes an imaging unit 50 which is at a tip part 6 of an insertion part 9 and comprises an imaging device 51 and prism member 54, where the imaging device 51 has a light reception part 51a on a device surface 51A and the prism member 54 has an opposing surface 54B opposite to the device surface 51A and guides imaging light to the light reception part 51a of the imaging device 51. The endoscope 2 has a configuration where an imaging device positioning part 61 composed of a projection part or notch part including a positioning surface 61a at which a device side 51C of the imaging device 51 is positioned to perform positioning on the imaging device 51 with respect to the prism member 54 in a direction along the opposing surface 54B is provided on the opposing surface 54B of the prism member 54.
