PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice ball making device, in which a portion of rice for one rice ball that is spread evenly is shaped into sheet-like rice, which is composed of a folding conveyer for folding the sheet-like rice, and which allows the rice ball to have a soft texture as if the rice ball is made by hand, without damaging grains of the rice.SOLUTION: A shaping device 35 comprises: a folding conveyer 30 for wrapping a filling 52 with sheet-like rice 51 and a shaping disk 31 having a rice ball-shaped hole 22, into which the rice filled with the filling is pushed on the folding conveyer 30 to shape a rice ball. The folding conveyer 30 is mainly composed of a bottom belt 13 for conveying the sheet-like rice 51, and a pair of side belts 14 that is placed on both sides of the bottom belt 13 and folds both sides of the sheet-like rice 51.
