PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an object tracing method and a device for which an impedance measurement is utilized.SOLUTION: An impedance calibration method has a step in which at least the first, second and third electrodes (48) are combined to the surface of the body of a subject (26) at each place. The first electric current which flows between the first body surface electrode and the second body surface electrode through the body is measured. At the same time, the second electric current which flows between the first body surface electrode and the third body surface electrode through the body is measured. From the first and second electric currents, a contact modulus indicating an impedance between at least one of the body surface electrodes and the surface of the body is introduced.
