PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sustained-release antibacterial agent continuing the sustained release of an antibacterial agent without being effected by an aluminum hydroxide gel to suppress the generation of slime, and not promoting the corrosion of an aluminum fin.SOLUTION: The sustained-release antibacterial agent includes: an antibacterial agent； and at least one kind selected from magnesium hydroxide and a water-insoluble chelating agent. In this sustained-release antibacterial agent, the whole of the surface is not covered with an aluminum hydroxide gel, and the sustained release of the antibacterial agent continues. It is preferable that the addition amount of at least one kind selected from the magnesium hydroxide and the water-insoluble chelating agent is the one at which the pH of the water in contact with the solidified sustained-release antibacterial agent reaches 11 or lower.【課題】水酸化アルミニウムゲルの影響を受けずに抗菌剤を徐放し続けてスライムの発生を抑制し、アルミニウムフィンの腐食を促進しない徐放性抗菌剤を提供すること。【解決手段】抗菌剤と、水酸化マグネシウム及び難水溶性キレート剤から選択される少なくとも一種とを含むことを特徴とする徐放性抗菌剤である。この徐放性抗菌剤では、表面全体が水酸化アルミニウムゲルで覆われてしまうことがなく抗菌剤の徐放が継続する。水酸化マグネシウム及び難水溶性キレート剤から選択される少なくとも一種の添加量は、固化した徐放性抗菌剤に接する水のｐＨが１１以下になる量であることが好ましい。【選択図】図１
