PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an awakener capable of awakening a driver with small power.SOLUTION: In an awakener including a stimulus generation unit 20 that generates a stimulus to be given to a driver, the stimulus generation unit 20 includes a pressure accumulation pack 23 that is placed inside a seat 2 on which a driver is seated and dilates when high-concentration oxygen g2 is fed, an oxygen outlet 26b which is coupled to the pressure accumulation pack 23 and through which the high-concentration oxygen g2 in the pressure accumulation pack 23 is blown off toward the driver, an electric pump 22 that is driven in response to a command issued from a drowsiness sign discrimination unit and dilates the pressure accumulation pack 23 by feeding the high-concentration oxygen g2 to the pressure accumulation pack 23, and an electric closing mechanism 24 that opens or closes the oxygen outlet 26b in response to a command issued from the drowsiness sign discrimination unit.
